What Our Members Say
"I told myself for years that someday I should join Toastmasters. But fear of having to get up in front of people and speak, along with fear of the time commitment kept me from joining. Then a colleague of mine invited me to visit as a guest and I was hooked. The friendly, supportive atmosphere makes facing my fear much easier than I expected. I always feel energized after a Techmasters meeting, full of satisfaction that I'm making a valuable investment in myself and enjoying the camaraderie of the group while doing so."
- Brent Bergman, member since November 2008
“I want to thank techmasters for molding me to be a better speaker, week by week. I still remember the first time I gave a presentation at my business school, how awful I felt watching the video of myself. I then decided to make my visit to toastmasters in spite of the craziest time I ever went through my life of having to balance my work, school and family. But it really paid off at the end of the day. After I gave my second presentation at school, I had every one congratulate me on giving a fabulous presentation and I was moved by one of the toughest person at school saying ‘George you have improved 300% from the last time you were up there' Thank you Techmasters ! Every meeting was a great learning experience.”
- George Mathew

About Techmasters
Techmasters was founded and chartered as a local club of Toastmasters International in December 1998. The goal of the club is to improve the speaking and leadership skills of the members through self-paced practice and constructive evaluation. Techmasters was so named because most of the original members were affiliated with the Schwab Technology group.
Club members come from many different backgrounds, membership is not restricted, and guests are always welcome. Techmasters meets every Tuesday from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m., except on holidays, in the Charles Schwab building at 211 Main Street/9th Floor/Spy Room, in San Francisco’s financial district.
